Educational And Professional Requirements

The first step of the nurse recruitment process is to assess if you meet the educational and professional requirements to qualify as a nurse in the US.

  • A graduate of an accredited nursing program (at least a Diploma)
  • At least 2 years experience as a bedside nurse in a 100-bed capacity hospital
  • Active RN License

Assessment / Screening Interview

If you meet the program requirements, you will be scheduled for a screening interview to learn more about Brilliant Healthcare offerings and to get to know you better.

Upon successful completion of the interview, the Brilliant Healthcare Contract will be shared to review the terms of the offer.

Credentials Evaluation

A Processing Officer will be assigned to you to facilitate the credentials evaluation process. This is necessary to ascertain that your academic and professional qualifications match those of a USRN. A CES Report will be issued upon completion of the evaluation.

NCLEX Preparation

Once your academic and professional documents are ready for review at the Credentials Evaluation step, you will be enrolled in the Brilliant Healthcare Archer program from where the highly experienced NCLEX tutors will help you prepare adequately for the NCLEX exam through weekly tests.

Licensure Application / Registration

This is the first step in the nurse recruitment process towards acquiring a US state nursing license. It is also necessary for NCLEX registration. After the necessary requirements for licensure are met, Brilliant Healthcare will register, pay, and schedule the NCLEX exam for you.

IELTS

If you haven’t already done so, we’ll arrange for you to take the International English Language Test, a requirement for all RNs who want to work in the US.

Employment Visa Application

About the Nurse Recruitment Process

Must I have passed NCLEX in order to apply with Brilliant?
No. We consider those who haven’t taken the NCLEX and guide them on the process. For those who have done the NCLEX, we continue the process for them to obtain the required work documents and visa.
How can Brilliant Healthcare help me find employment?

Brilliant Healthcare will assist you in the licensing process, obtaining your visa/green card, and finding the right job for you. Our staff includes experienced credentialing and licensing specialists, and seasoned staffing professionals – all of whom will help you to get the required licenses and authorizations for employment in the U.S. We will assist in all necessary steps, including your Visa Screen and your state license application. With the assistance of our immigration attorney, we will sponsor you for a work visa or a green card to work in the U.S.

How long does the process take?

Licensing and credentialing times vary depending on your status when you apply to Brilliant Healthcare. If you have not yet begun the credentialing process, it may take anywhere between 6-24 months to obtain the necessary credentialing and licensure approvals for your visa. For green card approvals, the priority date for your country will also impact the timeline and could push it to over 1 year. We will do our best to assist you and ensure your process goes as quickly as possible.

Is there an age limit for your program?

No. There is no age limit.

Does Brilliant Healthcare assist with finding housing?
We will assist you in finding housing accommodations. We will also provide you with letters of employment to verify your work status with us.
Will I be able to take classes or continuing education while working in the United States?
We offer multiple continuing education events throughout the year of your choice. We also offer a number of in-house training opportunities presented by our staff. We highly encourage sponsored nurses to attend continuing education events.
What is the cost for the whole process until an individual comes to the US?
Once you are on board, Brilliant Healthcare will give you a cost breakdown on what cost you cover and what Brilliant Healthcare covers in terms of payment and fee for processing your documents.
Where can I take the NCLEX Exam?

What is a Visa Screen Certificate (VSC)?
U.S. immigration law requires that certain foreign healthcare workers, including Registered Nurses, obtain a foreign healthcare certificate. This is commonly referred to as a “visa screen.” Currently, there is only one accredited agency authorized to issue these certificates for RNs: CGFNS. The purpose of the immigration requirement is to verify that foreign healthcare workers possess the necessary education and English fluency.
Do you provide benefits?

As an employee of Brilliant Healthcare, you will be eligible to participate in the firm’s benefits program. Currently, our benefits package includes: major medical, hospitalization, long-term disability, vision and dental. After 1 year, all employees are eligible to enroll in our 401k plan. Medical benefits begin on your first day of clinical employment, while dental and vision benefits begin 90 days after the first day of clinical employment.

Can my family come to the U.S. with me?
Yes, your spouse and dependent children under the age of 21 can accompany you to the U.S. and will receive visa status permitting them to live in the U.S. If you receive a green card, your family will have the opportunity to apply for work authorization.
